The Five Rivers Challenge is a unique fly fishing contest, showcasing northern California's five Wild Trout Rivers. Two person teams fish with guides for
three days on the upper Sac, the McCloud, the Pit, Hat Creek and Fall River. Fly tackle only, barbless hooks, all fish released. The guides keep score.
Points scored on total inches of fish caught from all rivers. The first contest winners in 2000 scored 765 inches of trout. The second contest winners
in 2002 caught and released 1267 inches of trout! There is a barbecue and awards dinner at the end, with great prizes. And all proceeds to our favorite
fish organization, CalTrout. Organized by the Clearwater Lodge on the Pit River, with various annual sponsors. For more information on the next contest
