
Joshua Schwartz Currently Joshua lives in St. Helena, California and holds the position of Executive Winery Chef for Del Dotto Vineyards and Guest Chef at Clearwater Lodge. Hogan Brown has been guiding the waters of Northern California for over a decade for trout, steelhead, stripers, and warm water species. As a signature fly tier for Idylwilde fly company his trout flies have become a staple on many western rivers as well as here at Clearwater Lodge. With a Masters Degree in education he is well versed in teaching fly fishing and his patient demeanor is suited for anglers of all skill levels. | 
Jay Beebe Jay Beebe is alumni of the 2007 Clearwater Lodge Guide school. Since the guide school Jay has been guiding the watersheds of Eastern Sierras honing his abilities. Jay has a laid back easy going personality and enjoys teaching all levels of the sport. |

Mark Buljan I started fishing as a young boy with my father in Croatia over 20 years ago and have been an avid fly fisherman since. My passion has taken me all over the world, from Montana to British Columbia, but I am privileged to call the incredible Steelhead and Trout waters of Northern California, Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho my home waters. I graduated first in my class from the renown Clearwater Lodge and have been guiding ever since. My strong work ethic, generosity and sense of humor make my guided trips memorable and leave you wanting to come back for more. An avid environmentalist and NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) graduate. A catch and release fisherman, a regular contributer to fly-fishing publications and a member of Trout Unlimited, FFF, and CalTrout. | 
Darrin Deel Darrin came to Clearwater at the beginning of the 2010 season and has quickly become a favorite of the lodge guests. Darrin spends his summer at Clearwater, and the rest of the year on the Lower Sac, Feather, Yuba, and Trinity. Darrin comes to us from Chico, where he frequently pursues shad and stripers. | 
Gabriel Duran Gabe is a Norcal native having grown up on the banks of the Lower Sac in Tehama. He cut his teeth in the guide industry in the Bush of Alaska. Guiding Fly Fisherman on Bristol Bay watersheds. From there the fuse was lit. He chose the "Gypsy Fishing Guide" Lifestyle for 8 years, guiding throughout the Rocky Mountain States as well as the Patagonian Region of Chile and Argentina. With the importance of Family and a lil help from Steelhead, he is now back guiding on his homewaters here in the North State with Clearwater Lodge. |

Scott Saiki came to Clearwater in 1993 on an internship from Humboldt State University. He immediately distinguished himself as an exceptional guide. These days we see much less of him than we'd like, with his family and his busy teaching job in Redding. He does teach our Master Angler school in July. | 
Mike Peters started guiding at Clearwater in the 80's and then went on to set up his own guide service around Mammoth Lakes. This year we are happy to have him back at Clearwater for several extended guest appearances. He lives in Nevada and guides anglers in the Eastern Sierra and at Clearwater. In the winter, he coaches the Mammoth ski team. | 
Jeremy Baker is a graduate of our 2009 guide school. He has quickly become a favorite with Clearwater guests. Jeremy is calm, patient, and very knowledgeable about our local fisheries. |

Jason Cockrum graduated from our Guide School in 1999. Jay brings a quiet competence and great angling skill to his guiding at Clearwater. He can find trout wherever you wish to fish in our area. He lives in Truckee and guides the river and the stillwaters around Lake Tahoe. In the winter, Jay's the man in the snowcat who grooms the snowboard park and pipe at Alpine Meadows. | 
Brad McFall started his guiding career at Clearwater in 2002. Most of the year, Brad guides the waters of the Eastern Sierra from the Lower Owens to the East Walker where he is head guide of the Trout Fly. Brad guides all over the State of California and Nevada on public and private water, while spending the fall and winter months guiding Steelhead on the Trinity River. | 
John Fochetti John has been fly fishing for over fifteen years, and been in the industry for the past six. He graduated from the 2011 guide school, and has stayed on to become another great addition to the amazing guide staff. Before coming to the lodge John taught fly fishing schools at the Orvis store in Reno where he was the fishing manager. He also taught schools with the Nevada Department of Wildlife. His calm and patient style of teaching and guiding will make your day on the water a truly memorable experience. |

Tom April has been guiding for Clearwater for over 25 years. His passion for fly fishing is evident whether he is instructing at one of our schools or out on the water on a private guide trip. Tom is a gifted teacher, patient and knowledgeable. He is quick to laugh and an easygoing guide to spend the day with. | 
Brooke Matteson is a graduate of our 2006 guide school and she is an absolute joy to have on our staff. When she's not fishing or persuing backcountry skiing, she is a graphic designer in Santa Cruz. A Colorado native, she's fished all over the Rockies from Wyoming to Utah and the Dakotas. Her enthusiasm, patience, and easy smile make her a great guide choice. | 
Brannon Santos is one of our most recent additions to the Clearwater guide staff. He graduated from our 2007 guide school program. Besides his expert fly fishing skills, he spends a great deal of his time cooking and snowboarding. His confident, calm, and patient teaching skills make him a perfect fit to this rock star guide staff. |
