Day 1: The Advanced Dry Fly School begins at 2pm with an overview of the course and ends on the 4th day after breakfast. Gear, knots, equipment, and casting skills are all part of the first afternoon. Days 2-3: The two full days will be spent mainly on the water learning different dry fly techniques. Time will be divided between spring creeks and freestone streams. Day 4: The course ends after breakfast on the 4th day.
Class Size & Student/instructor ratio: We typically have between 2 and 6 people in each class. We have at least one instructor for every four students. • Overhead cast accurately to 30 feet.

Course Description:
Quite arguably the most exciting method of fly fishing is presenting a dry fly to a rising trout and watching it grab the fly from the water's surface. You will learn specialized casts, line control techniques, and leader construction that make for a drag free presentation in both spring creek and freestone waters. Your classroom will be some of the very best trout waters that northern California has to offer!

• Imitating mayfly, caddisfly, and stonefly adults
